When users destroy an entity such as a batch, they are required to select the destruction method. Create destruction methods to set up the options they can select.

Note: Waste Type is also required information when destroying. Be sure to set those up too!

Managing Destruction Methods

Go to Administration > Destruction Methods. The page lists the destruction methods that have been set up in your site.

To add a new one:

Click the + button in the top green bar.

To modify an existing one:

Click on it in the list to expand it, then click EDIT.

A modal appears. Add/edit the destruction method with these properties:

• Name - The name of the destruction method as it will appear throughout your site.
• Description - Any notes about the destruction method.

Click SAVE when you're done.

INFARMED Annual Report (Portugal)

If your organization files the INFARMED Annual Report, match each destruction method to INFARMED's treatment method and the company that carries it out in Administration > Organization Settings > INFARMED Report > Destruction methods. Methods that are not matched are flagged in the report's review workbook. See Portugal: INFARMED Report - Settings.
