Regional Preferences: Dates, Currency and Units

Different regions have different conventions for displaying dates, currencies, and measurements. Getting these wrong causes confusion and compliance issues. Regional preferences help you:
- Match local conventions - Dates, numbers, and weights display the way your team expects
- Meet compliance requirements - Reports show measurements in units your regulator requires
- Avoid costly errors - No confusion between 12/01 (December 1st vs January 12th)
- Simplify invoicing - Prices display in your local currency
⚙️ Where to Find These Settings
All regional preferences are configured in one place:
- Go to Administration
- Click Organization Settings
- Scroll through the General Settings tab to find each setting
Each setting has its own card with a dropdown and Update button. Changes apply organization-wide for all users.
📅 Date Format
Display dates in the format your region uses - no more guessing which number is the month.
GrowerIQ supports these date formats:

To change your date format:
- Go to Administration > Organization Settings
- Find the Date format card
- Select your preferred format from the dropdown
- Click Update date format
🕐 Date and Time Format
Choose how timestamps appear throughout GrowerIQ - combining date and time in one setting.
GrowerIQ supports both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats:

💰 Currency
Display all prices and costs in your local currency - essential for accurate invoicing and cost tracking.
GrowerIQ supports international currencies including:

To set your currency:
- Go to Administration > Organization Settings
- Find the Currency card
- Select your currency from the dropdown
- Click Update currency
⚠️ Important
Currency setting affects display only. GrowerIQ does not perform currency conversion. Ensure all prices are entered in your configured currency.
🔢 Numeric Display Mask
Display numbers using your regional conventions for thousands and decimal separators.
Different regions use different number formats:

GrowerIQ automatically formats numbers based on your selection, so weights, quantities, and prices always display correctly.

⚖️ Unit of Measure
Choose metric or imperial units to match your operational and regulatory requirements.
Metric System:
- Weight: grams (g), kilograms (kg)
- Volume: milliliters (ml), liters (L)
- Length: centimeters (cm), meters (m)
Imperial System:
- Weight: ounces (oz), pounds (lb)
- Volume: fluid ounces (fl oz), gallons (gal)
- Length: inches (in), feet (ft)
To change units:
- Go to Administration > Organization Settings
- Find the Unit of Measure card
- Select metric or imperial
- Click Update Unit of Measure
💡 Compliance Note
Most international cannabis regulations require metric units (grams, kilograms). Check your local requirements before selecting imperial.
🌡️ Temperature Scale
Display grow room temperatures in Celsius or Fahrenheit - whichever your team prefers.
- Celsius (°C) - Used in most of the world
- Fahrenheit (°F) - Used in United States
Temperature displays throughout GrowerIQ (environmental monitoring, activity logs, sensor readings) will use your configured scale.
To change: Find the Temperature card in Organization Settings.
