Getting Started with Tissue Culture in GrowerIQ Learn how to navigate the Tissue Culture module and understand its key features. Before You Start Make sure you have: - A GrowerIQ account with access to the Tissue Culture module - Your login credentials from your administrator Step 1: Open the Tissue Culture Module From any page in GrowerIQ, look at the left sidebar menu. Click Tissue Culture to expand the module menu. Step 1: Click Tissue Culture in the sidebar to expand the menu Step 2: View the Dashboard Click Overview (or just Tissue Culture) to see the main dashboard. The dashboard shows a summary of your tissue culture operations, including vessel counts and stage distribution. Step 2: The Tissue Culture dashboard showing an overview of operations Step 3: Explore the Navigation The Tissue Culture menu has these sections: - Overview - Dashboard with summary information - Vessel Batches - Groups of vessels managed together - Vessels - Individual tissue culture vessels Click Vessel Batches or Vessels to view those lists. How to Configure TCP Settings in GrowerIQ

Learn how to customize the Tissue Culture settings for your organization, including health indicators, media types, production types, and vessel stages. Before You Start Make sure you have: - Administrator access to GrowerIQ - The Tissue Culture module enabled for your organization Step 1: Navigate to Organization Settings From the left sidebar, click Administration, then click Organization Settings. You will see the Organization Settings page with several tabs at the top. Step 1: Navigate to Administration > Organization Settings Step 2: Open the TCP Settings Tab Click the TCP Settings tab (with the science icon) to view all tissue culture configuration options. The page contains four sections: - Vessel Health Indicators - Health status options for vessels - Vessel Media Types - Growing media options for vessels - Vessel Production Types - Production run types for vessels - Vessel Stages - Development stages that vessels progress through Step 2: Click the TCP Settings tab to see all configuration sections Step 3: Add a New Item To add a new option to any section, click the Add button (e.g., + Add Health Indicator). An inline form will appear at the top of the section: 1. Enter a Name for the new item (maximum 50 characters) 2. Click Add to save it Click Cancel to discard the new item. Step 3: Click the Add button and enter a name for the new item Step 4: Edit an Existing Item To rename an existing item, click the pencil icon in the Actions column for that row. The edit form will appear with the current name pre-filled: 1. Update the Name as needed 2. Click Update to save your changes Click Cancel to discard changes. !!! note "Note" While editing one item, the edit and delete buttons on all other items are disabled to prevent conflicts. Step 4: Click the pencil icon to edit an item, then update the name and click Update Step 5: Delete an Item To remove an item, click the trash icon in the Actions column for that row. !!! warning "Warning" Do not delete items that are currently in use by vessels. Removing items that are assigned to existing vessels may cause data inconsistencies in reports. If you no longer need an option, consider adding a replacement first and updating your vessels before deleting the old one. Step 6: Configure Vessel Stages The Vessel Stages section works slightly differently from the other sections. Each stage has two fields: - Stage Name - The display name for the stage (e.g., "Stage 0", "Stage 1") - Stage Order - A number that determines the sequence of stages (0, 1, 2, etc.) Stages are automatically sorted by their order number. When adding a new stage, the order will default to one more than the current highest value. !!! tip "Tip" The stage order determines the progression path for your vessels. Make sure to number them sequentially to reflect your tissue culture workflow. Step 6: Vessel Stages showing Name and Order columns You're Done! You now know how to configure TCP settings in GrowerIQ. These settings define the dropdown options available throughout the Tissue Culture module. How to Manage Vessel Batches in GrowerIQ

Learn how to view, edit, and work with vessel batches in the Tissue Culture module. Before You Start Make sure you have: - Access to the Tissue Culture module - At least one vessel batch already created in the system Step 1: Navigate to Vessel Batches From the main menu, click Tissue Culture then Vessel Batches. You will see a list of all vessel batches with their name, stage, vessel count, and other details. Step 1: Navigate to Tissue Culture > Vessel Batches to see the list Step 2: Open a Batch Click on a batch name in the list to view its details. The batch detail page shows: - Batch Name and current stage - Stage Chart - Visual progress through the tissue culture stages - Vessel Count - How many vessels belong to this batch - Action Buttons - Operations you can perform on this batch Step 2: Click a batch name to open the batch detail page Step 3: Edit Batch Details To update a batch's information, click the Edit Batch button. In the dialog, you can update: - Name - Change the display name for the batch - Production Type - Select the production type from the dropdown (e.g., Multiplication) - Expiry Date - Set or change the batch expiry date - Order Numbers / PO Numbers - Link the batch to one or more order or PO numbers using the search field - Customer Names - Associate the batch with one or more customers using the search field - Target Plants - Set the target plant count for the batch - Target Due Date - Set the target completion date for the batch Click Save when finished, or Cancel to discard changes. Step 3: Click Edit Batch and update the batch information Step 4: View Vessels in the Batch Click the Vessels tab to see all vessels that belong to this batch. The grid shows each vessel's name, plant count, stage, health indicator, and more. Click any vessel name to navigate to that vessel's detail page. Step 4: Click the Vessels tab to see all vessels in this batch Step 5: Advance the Batch Stage To move all vessels in the batch to the next stage, click Advance Stage. Select the new stage from the dropdown and click Confirm. !!! note "Note" This will advance all vessels in the batch at once. To advance individual vessels, go to the vessel detail page instead. Step 5: Click Advance Stage and select the new stage for the batch You're Done! You now know how to manage vessel batches in GrowerIQ. How to Work with Individual Vessels in GrowerIQ

Learn how to view vessel details, edit vessel information, move a vessel to a new location, and print vessel labels. Before You Start Make sure you have: - Access to the Tissue Culture module - At least one vessel in the system Step 1: Navigate to Vessels From the main menu, click Tissue Culture then Vessels. The vessels list shows all individual vessels with their plant count, stage, health indicator, variety, and location. Step 1: Navigate to Tissue Culture > Vessels to see all vessels Step 2: Open a Vessel Click on a vessel name in the list to view its details. The vessel detail page shows: - Plant Count - Number of plants in this vessel - Variety - The plant variety - Health Indicator - Current health status - Media Type - Growth media being used - Current Location - Where the vessel is stored - Stage Chart - Visual progress through tissue culture stages - Batch - Link to the batch this vessel belongs to Step 2: Click a vessel name to see the detail page with properties and actions Step 3: Edit Vessel Information Click the Edit Vessel button in the Actions section. In the dialog, you can update: - Name - Change the display name for the vessel - Health Indicator - Select the current health status from the dropdown - Media Type - Select the growth media from the dropdown - Current Stage - Change the vessel's cultivation stage from the dropdown - Plant Count - Update the number of plants in the vessel Click Save when finished, or Cancel to discard changes. Step 3: Click Edit Vessel and update the vessel's properties Step 4: Move the Vessel to a New Location To change where a vessel is stored, click the Move Location button in the Actions section. !!! note "Note" The Move Location button is only active when the vessel has plants (plant count greater than 0). In the dialog: 1. Select the new Building 2. Select the Room within that building 3. Optionally select a specific Shelf or Position Click Move to confirm the location change. The vessel's Current Location will update on the detail page. Step 5: Print a Vessel Label To print a barcode label for a vessel, click the Print Label button in the Actions section. The system will generate a printable label containing the vessel's barcode and identifying information. Use your browser's print dialog to send the label to a connected label printer or save it as a PDF. Step 5: Click Print Label to generate a printable barcode label for the vessel Step 6: View the Activity Log Click the Activity Log tab below the vessel properties. The activity log shows a history of all events for this vessel, including: - Stage changes - Multiplication events - Location moves - Edits and updates Step 6: Click the Activity Log tab to see the vessel's event history You're Done! How to Record a Multiplication Event in GrowerIQ Learn how to record when plants multiply and distribute the new plants to vessels. Before You Start Make sure you have: - Access to the Tissue Culture module - A vessel with at least 1 plant (empty vessels cannot multiply) - Knowledge of the health status and media type for new vessels Step 1: Navigate to the Vessel From the main menu, click Tissue Culture then Vessels. Find and click on the vessel you want to multiply from. Step 1: Navigate to Tissue Culture > Vessels and select a vessel Step 2: Open the Multiplication Event Dialog On the vessel detail page, click the Multiplication Event button. Note: This button is only available when the vessel has plants. Step 2: Click the Multiplication Event button on the vessel detail page Step 3: Enter Multiplication Details In the first step of the dialog: 1. Enter Plants Used - how many plants from this vessel were used 2. Enter Plants Created - how many new plants resulted from the multiplication 3. The Multiplication Rate calculates automatically Click Next to continue. Step 3: Enter the number of plants used and plants created Step 4: Choose Distribution Type Select how you want to distribute the new plants: - All to New Vessel - Put all plants in one new vessel - Multiple Vessels - Split plants across several new vessels Step 4: Select whether to create one or multiple new vessels Step 5: Configure New Vessel(s) For each new vessel, set: 1. Plant Count - Use the slider or type a number 2. Health Indicator - Select the plant health status 3. Media Type - Select the growth media used 4. Vessel Stage - Select the starting stage Tip: Click Distribute Evenly to split plants equally across all vessels. If creating multiple vessels: - Click Add Vessel to add more vessels - Click the trash icon to remove a vessel The total plants must equal the plants created in Step 3. Step 5: Configure health, media type, and stage for each new vessel Step 6: Review and Submit Review the summary showing: - Source vessel information - Multiplication rate achieved - Details of each new vessel to be created Click Submit to complete the multiplication event. Step 6: Review the summary and click Submit You're Done! You have successfully recorded a multiplication event. The system will: - Reduce the plant count on the source vessel - Create the new vessel(s) with your settings - Record the multiplication in the activity log Next steps: - Click the vessel links in the success message to view new vessels - Continue monitoring vessel health indicators - Record the next multiplication when plants are ready Need Help? Before You Start Make sure you have: - Access to the Tissue Culture module - A vessel with at least 1 plant (empty vessels cannot be queued for destruction) - A valid reason for destruction (contamination, failed inspection, expiry, etc.) Step 1: Navigate to the Vessel From the main menu, click Tissue Culture then Vessels. Find and click on the vessel you want to queue for destruction. Step 1: Navigate to Tissue Culture > Vessels and select the vessel Step 2: Verify the Vessel On the vessel detail page, confirm this is the correct vessel by checking: - Vessel Name - The unique identifier - Plant Count - Number of plants that will be destroyed - Batch - The batch this vessel belongs to Important: Destruction cannot be undone. Double-check that you have the right vessel. Step 2: Verify the vessel details before proceeding with destruction Step 3: Open the Destruction Dialog Click the Queue For Destruction button in the Actions section. Note: This button is only active when the vessel has plants (plant count > 0). A confirmation dialog will open. Step 3: Click Queue For Destruction to open the destruction dialog Step 4: Enter Destruction Details In the dialog, provide: 1. Reason - Select or enter the reason for destruction (e.g., contamination, failed QA, expired) 2. Notes - Add any additional details about why this vessel is being destroyed Tip: Be specific with the reason. This information is important for compliance and record-keeping. Step 5: Confirm the Destruction Click Confirm to queue the vessel for destruction. The system will: - Mark the vessel as queued for destruction - Set the plant count to 0 - Record the destruction event in the activity log - The vessel will appear in the destruction queue for final processing You're Done! You have successfully queued a vessel for destruction. Before You Start Make sure you have: - Access to the Tissue Culture module - A vessel with at least 1 plant (empty vessels cannot have samples created) - Knowledge of the sample type and testing requirements Step 1: Navigate to the Vessel From the main menu, click Tissue Culture then Vessels. Find and click on the vessel you want to create a sample from. Step 1: Navigate to Tissue Culture > Vessels and select a vessel Step 2: Check the Vessel Has Plants On the vessel detail page, verify the Plant Count is greater than 0. The Create Sample button in the Actions section will only be active when the vessel has plants. Step 2: Verify the vessel has plants and the Create Sample button is active Step 3: Open the Create Sample Dialog Click the Create Sample button in the Actions section. A dialog will open where you can configure the sample details. Step 3: Click Create Sample to open the sample creation dialog Step 4: Configure the Sample In the dialog, fill in the sample details: 1. Sample Type - Select the type of test to be performed 2. Quantity - Enter the number of plants for the sample 3. Notes - Add any relevant notes about the sample Tip: The sample quantity will be deducted from the vessel's plant count. Step 5: Submit the Sample Click Create to generate the sample. The system will: - Create a new sample record linked to this vessel - Reduce the vessel's plant count by the sample quantity - Record the sample creation in the activity log Step 6: View the Sample After creation, click the Samples tab on the vessel detail page to see all samples created from this vessel. You can click on a sample to view its details and test results. You're Done! You have successfully created a sample from a tissue culture vessel. How to Advance or Revert a Vessel Stage in GrowerIQ Learn how to move a vessel forward or backward through the tissue culture stages. Before You Start Make sure you have: - Access to the Tissue Culture module - A vessel that you want to change the stage for Step 1: Navigate to the Vessel From the main menu, click Tissue Culture then Vessels. Find and click on the vessel you want to change the stage for. Step 1: Navigate to Tissue Culture > Vessels and select a vessel Step 2: Check the Current Stage On the vessel detail page, look at the Stage Chart at the bottom of the properties section. The stage chart shows: - Completed stages - Shown with a filled circle - Current stage - Highlighted as the active step - Upcoming stages - Shown with an empty circle This tells you where the vessel is in the process. Step 2: Review the stage chart showing the vessel's current stage Step 3: Open the Stage Dialog Click the Advance/Revert Stage button in the Actions section. A dialog will open showing the available stage options. Step 3: Click the Advance/Revert Stage button to open the dialog Step 4: Select the New Stage Click the Stage dropdown to see all available stages. - To advance, select a stage that comes after the current one - To revert, select a stage that comes before the current one Tip: Stages are listed in order. The current stage is indicated so you know which direction you're moving. Step 4: Open the dropdown and select the stage to move to Step 5: Confirm the Change After selecting the new stage, click Confirm to apply the change. The vessel detail page will update to show the new stage in the stage chart. The stage change will also be recorded in the vessel's Activity Log. You're Done! You have successfully changed the vessel's stage. Next steps: - Check the Activity Log tab to see the stage change recorded - Advance the entire batch at once from the batch detail page - Continue monitoring vessels at each stage Need Help?
